About Pamela

I've been involved in the sport and fitness industry most of my life. I completed a BA in Human Movement Science in 1992 and went on to work as a personal trainer and further my studies at the Institute of Sport & Remedial Massage (ISRM).

I first started doing pilates because of an injury. After my first pregnancy I bean running and playing tennis but soon realised that my body hadn’t had the chance to rest and heal. I developed some hip and spine problems that prevented me from taking part in the activities I enjoy most. Pilates helped me to put my mind in touch with my body and knit myself back together. Pilates became an integral part of my life and fundamental to my well being.

am now a qualified comprehensive Pilates  instructor and am continuing my development with training in special populations e.g. pre and post natal, older populations, groups needing special consideration such as breast cancer and individuals needing specific back care.

Through continuing work with individuals from many walks of life, I have developed a broad understanding of how sporting activities and everyday stresses and strains caused by poor posture or technique and injury, can weaken the muscular skeletal system and cause severe, sometimes debilitating pain.

By combining deep tissue massage with Pilates it is possible make remarkable improvements in the alleviation of these stresses and strains leading to pain free living and reducing physical ageing.
